Janet Rawes

She was a member of the Basketball team in 1989 and led the team in both offensive and defensive rebounds with 197 for the season. She was also a member of the Softball team 1986-1989 and a member of the 1987 State Softball team. She has a career Batting Average of 0.419. In 1988 and 1989, she led the team in runs scored, hits, triples, homeruns, stolen bases, RBI’s and Batting Average. Currently holds the school record for triples in a season. She was an All-District and All-Region Catcher. Janet began coaching JV Softball in Appomattox in 2010, moved to Varsity Head Coach in 2015. She helped lead Appomattox to back to back state championships in 2021 & 2022.
