Jake Perkins

Class of 2012

Biography

During Jake’s high school career he was a member of the baseball, basketball and golf teams. He made the all district, all region and all state teams in baseball and golf. In Jake's senior year he was the Region Player of the Year in Golf and the News and Advance Golfer of the Year while on his way to winning the VHSL Individual State Golf Championship with a state record of 9 under par at Heritage Oaks Country Club. After high school, Jake played baseball at Ferrum College and in 2014 was awarded the USA South Pitcher of the Year after pitching 2 no-hitters in one season, a Ferrum record. He was on the USA South Conference Team in 2014, 2015, and 2016. In 2016, he was again selected as the USA South Pitcher of the Year award. After graduating from Ferrum College, Jake was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers. He currently resides in Appomattox with his wife, Taylor and son, Beau.
